Online Banking Access & Security Questions
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010As a result of a routine upgrade by our Online Banking vendor, some members have been asked security questions when they are logging into Online Banking. If you are asked the security questions, here is some information that might help you.
- Go ahead and select questions and give answers. This provides you with an extra layer of security. And, should you forget your password, you can retrieve it by answering the security questions.
- Be very careful to remember your exact answers—this function is case-sensitive (meaning you must type the words in exactly the same way each time, including capital and lower-case letters).
- If you have difficulty remembering your answers, you may get locked out of the system after too many tries. This is to protect your account from would-be hackers. In this case, you’ll need to contact our Virtual Branch to have your account access reset. Even if you’re locked out of Online Banking, you are not locked out of your account. Your ATM/debit card, checks, etc. are still fully functional.
Even though our website has changed, our Online Banking service still operates as it did before, with the same high security and functionality. You’ll find that most everything is in the same place. However, if you have problems, please let us know by calling our Virtual Branch or filling out the Contact Us form on our website.
