The side of a bus may not be Salal’s preferred habitat, but if you’ve been in downtown Seattle or Bellevue lately, you may have noticed our name and logo on the side of a Metro bus or two. To spread the word about Salal Credit Union and let the public know that anyone in Washington State is eligible to join, we’ve been getting our new name out there.

If you’ve seen us “about town,” on a bus or in your local paper, maybe heard our name mentioned on the radio, we’d like to know about it! Take a photo of yourself with our new logo (carefully, please, if it’s on the side of a bus), and send it to us at news@salalcu.org. You may find yourself the star of a blog post on Let’s Get Fiscal!

Checking in on changes

Our new name is just over a month old, and you may have noticed that it rolls off our tongues more easily in branches and on the phone. In the wake of that big change, we continue to make smaller changes that we believe will improve our service to our members:

• We’re fine-tuning our website so all the functions you appreciated before are still there, plus a lot of new ones that can make your financial life a little easier.
• Our website now has a “search” function that enables you to find the information you need faster and more easily. You can find it on the right-hand side of every page on our website.
• The homepage also has a Branch Locator tool. If you’re out of range of your usual branch, you can find a Shared Branch or 7-Eleven Kiosk nearby by entering in the zip code where you are.
• From our website product pages, the “Apply Now” button gets the ball rolling. Simply click the button, enter in the information, and a Salal staff member will contact you within one business day!
